Welcome to the Casoteca of Public Management,
The Casoteca of Public Management is a virtual library of Case Studies focused on Public Management. The cases are for free downloading having for goal the incentive of the use of new techniques of learning on various subjects such as Ethics, Public Policy, Diversity, Program Management and Projects, Innovation and others.
Case studies are narratives that present a scenario based on real life, where decisions are taken and conclusions are made having a non-fictional context as support. Those are ways to bring reality to classroom and to use them as an important instrument of learning on a controlled environment.
Some of the case studies include a teaching note. The teaching note is a guide of orientations for teachers, designed to instruct them on how to use the case study in class. It contains the goals of the case study, the courses in which it can be applied, the class dynamics that can emerge from it, the main points for discussion, the additional materials and lectures that can be added to it etc. The teaching note is a propositional file with the indication of the different uses for the material in class, aiming to facilitate the diffusion of this new method of teaching. For those reasons, the teaching note is restricted to teachers and course coordinators. If you are a teacher or course coordinator you can register in the area “Cadastre-se” (Registry).
